Nepal steps into possibly the first another +Vevo release via +AsthaVEVO channel for The Author x Astha's - Where Have You Been?

Added - As shared in the comment +ArpanPokharelVEVO, music composer and director based in USA even has a +Vevo  channel.

It's yet to define, how many Nepali singers or Nepali origin singers have their own VEVO account. But, its always a great news for all


The new single has been wonderfully presented by Nepal's popular musician's +rohit shakya 'The Author' and +Astha Tamang-Maskey  with lyrics from Astha herself. Both the artist have their own many releases earlier along with works on collaboration with national and international musicians.

The cinematography of their recent release has been done by +prasiit sthapit from +Fuzz Factory Productions shot in Kathmandu, Nepal made their first VEVO release.

Let's make Winter special @ Bazaar

+ChangeFusion Nepal  and +Baber Mahal Revisited in partnership with +Bihani Social Venture organizes " Festive Winter Bazaar " this end of November 29, 2014. Showcasing exquisite cultural extravaganza of authentic music along with Nepalese culinary delight, bazaar will be held at Baber Mahal Revisited courtyard from 11am - 6pm. Marking the Christmas and festive holiday season, and with the aim of supporting the social enterprise, the bazaar features unique array of local produce by the social ventures ranging from traditional art and handicraft items to herbal and recycled quality products.

The friendly shopping extravaganza features products from initiatives seeking for societal change and upliftment. SNASEA 2012 winner Shanti Shakya Dolma's Kakani Himalayan Natural Dyes, an initiative for women empowerment by utilization of eco-friendly dyes on natural fabrics  is one of them will be sharing you her story along with her team's works. Joining her will also be 2011 SNASEA winner Sabita Maharjan's Kirtipur Hosiery.

Janakpur Women’s Development Centre working to empower and support the women from Maithili culture in the Janakpur area. Exquisite Mithila art in form of paintings, mirrors with paper make, sewing & embroidery along with screen-printings & ceramics will be available for you to take back home as well from the Bazaar.Joining others are JeevanKala, an initiative by Himalayan HealthCare, produces recycled products made by the local artisans from the remote Himalayan mountain villages of Lapa, Tipling and Shertung. JeevanKala products highlight the importance of preserving ecology by encouraging the villagers for the collection of non bio- degradable trash. As Himalayan HealthCare envisions creating sustainable development programs in the remote areas of Nepal that will improve the quality of life, the Festive Winter Bazaar will showcase its JeevanKala product line.

Voice your words at QC Awards : The Poetry Slam 2014

Bringing students closer to the art of poetry while inspiring and empowering them in the process, +Quixote's Cove and the +Word Warriors with support from Daya Foundation, came together for an interschool poetry slam QC Awards: The Poetry Slam 2014. 



+Anudeep Dewan shared +View Your Choice- तपाईको सोचाई हाम्रो रोजाई - about the motive, " Slam poetry being a performance based recital of original poetry we want the youth to interact with local slam poets and to join a network of young poets to spread the movement in Nepal. " The poetry can cover any topic and is judged based on the quality of the poem, expressiveness of the performer, audience response and performance style. It is a powerful form of creative expression, which gives youth an opportunity to present their unique voice.

Anudeep shared us that the competition has been divided in four phases as shared in the image below - 





The contest will be bilingual giving students the option of working in a language they are most comfortable with. 

The contest is open for all participants between the ages of 14 to 23. All submissions will be reviewed by a panel composed of local writers, theatre actors and poets.  

The deadline for the submission of the application is November 29th, 2014.


While, short listed 80 Applicants will participate in an intensive one day preparatory workshop to be held on December 6th, 2014. Designed to improve the participant’s written & editing poetry as well as hone their performance skills the workshop will be conducted by Nepal’s first slam poetry group, +Word Warriors Nepal


Short listed participants from the workshop will take part in an audition to secure one of the 20 places on December 13th, 2014 for their own original poetry and performance judged by Nepali poets, teachers and journalists

20th December, 2014 will be a historic and memorable day for these finalist where Top Five Poets shall be selected by a panel of judges on two round competition.
