My name is Shrinkhala Shrestha. I am currently living in Pepsi-cola, Kathmandu with my family members (mother, father, and sister). My hometown is Biratnagar, Morang. I moved to Kathmandu when I was just 2 years old. Currently, I am preparing for my final examination as I am soon going to graduate from my high school, Grade 12 from Nobel Academy located at New Baneshwor, Kathmandu. I am very passionate about basketball and have participated in various tournaments. During my free time, I love to read fictional books. My aim has always been to be an army right from my early childhood. In my family, my father is the only one who is earning. My father works in an office, earning wages just enough to run the house. My mother is a housewife. It was very hard for my father to look after our daily requirements and to give us a proper education.
After completing my SEE I started becoming a little matured. I got to realize and know about the difficulties my family has been facing. We were facing financial problems. My father's earning was not enough to pursue my higher education so we were having a hard time joining any college for my further studies as the college fees were very high.

Everyone was very worried as I wanted to pursue my +2 but we were having difficulty but at that particular time, I felt very fortunate as one of my relatives introduced to Canopy Nepal, an organization which was working for education and was giving scholarships to students for further studies. I was called for an interview from FESSHIP, one of the scholarship programs of Canopy Nepal. After the interview, I was living a regular life until I got a phone call saying I was selected as a Canopy Nepal Excellence scholar. I still remember the day and the happiness that was there for an opportunity to study in a reputed college of Kathmandu. It has been almost 8-9 months, I have been a scholar of FESSHIP this program has not only gave me a scholarship but have helped me in different ways the program offers scholars with various workshop, training (Orientation on Basic First Aid, Career Counselings, Email Etiquettes, Motivational Speeches, Panel Discussions, Young Picassos, Movie Screenings, The World of Data, etc) this has not only enhanced me but also I am now more confident my public speaking has been better than it was before. I see changes in myself because of these workshops and guidance that I have been getting after being .
I cannot imagine what I would do if I were not a scholar of FESSHIP. This scholarship program and Canopy Nepal always motivate me to be a better version of myself. It is like a second home to me and the team members of this organization are like the members of my family. The persistence and dedication of this organization has made me more passionate about working with the children like me in the days to come.
