Purna Lal Shrestha at Envisage with Sage
~ ENVISAGE with SAGE ~ is a concept by View Your Choice- तपाईको सोचाई हाम्रो रोजाई - on an interaction with Nepali Citizens from abroad who have COME BACK FOR GOOD.
We introduce you Purna Lal Shrestha from Ridgwood, Queens with support from +SaHaDeV PoUdEl and team at Faces of Nepali in America. Hard Work is one of the key elements of success. Especially in America, without hard work, we can’t achieve “American Dreams.” Purna Lal Shrestha is one of the hard working Nepali business men, who run a grocery store (Mt. Everest Grocery) in New York.
Purna Lal Shrestha migrated from Nepal about 16 years ago. After he came to the United States of America, he worked in a restaurant as a chef for 8 years. One day one of his friends inspired him to open own grocery store. So he brought Mt. Everest Grocery store in Ridgewood, Queens. He sells rice, lentil and other traditional and ethnic grocery foods from Nepal, India, and Latin American countries. He also sells lotto, cigarette and beer. The store also has money transfer services. Mostly Nepali, Indian, Bangladeshi, Pakistani, Ecuadorian, Mexican are the regular customers.
He works almost 15 hours a day, however his wife and daughter help him to flourish the business. One day he would like to invest in chain business like Seven Eleven.
He is happy with his life and business. He says after working very hard, he has achieved some sorts of American Dreams.
